We are recruiting an EXPERIENCED Animal Care Assistant to join us here at Westlodge Pet Hotel, South Cambridgeshire on a part time basis to provide care for our guests in our Luxury Pet Hotel, the candidate needs to be friendly, outgoing and happy to work in a team environment. Experience in working in a Kennels and Cattery essential.
The position is part time and based on a 3 day week and this will include one day at the weekend on a rota basis. We take care of the animals 365 days throughout the year this also includes the holiday seasons (bank holidays, Easter, Christmas, New year etc)
You must be able to work with all animals and not just dogs and cats as we have Donkeys and Goats on site that need care with light stable duties required for the Donkeys.
The working hours are 8am - 5:30pm.
The job does require experienced, dedicated and hard working applicants as we are a popular place that offers high end accommodation for dogs and cats so the standards are very high.
The day to day jobs entail:
Cleaning kennels and catteries
Walking the dogs, feeding the animals and administering medication for the animals in our care, health checks and much more.
General maintenance, up keep and tidiness of the site.
We are a friendly and hardworking team who work in all types of weather. You must also be fit and energetic with a real passion for animals.
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
