Natural Stone Surfaces are a leading manufacturer of stone worktops, based in Chapel en le Frith and cover the whole of the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a stone operative for our busy workshop.
Hours of work - 48 hours per week.
Job Description:
. Operating tools and machinery to polish and finish various stone materials in line with job specifications
· Operating machinery to cut various stone materials in line with job specifications
· Working within a team to ensure work is completed within agreed timescale
· Adhering to company quality and safety standards
· Requires some heavy lifting
· Involves standing for long periods of time
· Able to work to drawing specifications
· Be quality aware
· Have an attention to detail
· Use of lifting equipment
· Use of an overhead crane
· FLT training if required
· Use waterjet machinery
· Be responsible for 5S in the workplace
Full Training will be given in the use of all machinery. Opportunity to increase rate of pay with training.
