A beautiful private estate in West Berkshire is seeking an Experienced Gardener to join their dedicated garden team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone established in their horticultural career, who is eager to work long-term in a supportive and professional environment.
The successful candidate will join a team of five gardeners. The role would suit a hardworking, knowledgeable, and hands-on individual who takes pride in maintaining gardens at a high standard.

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- General garden and grounds maintenance
- Lawn care
- Pruning of fruit trees and climbers, hedge cutting, and seasonal planting
- Weed control
- Operating and maintaining a range of horticultural machinery and equipment
- Keeping gardens, grounds, and outdoor areas clean, tidy and safe
- Assisting with garden projects.
Essential Requirements:
- Genuine interest in horticulture and outdoor work
- Proven experience in gardening and grounds maintenance
- Good plant and horticultural knowledge are essential
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all-weather conditions
- Ability to safely operate garden machinery
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Reliable, punctual, and presentable
- Strong attention to detail and pride in work
- Must be local to Berkshire or willing to relocate
Desirable qualities and Qualifications:
- Horticultural qualification (RHS, NVQ, or equivalent).
- PA1/PA6 spraying certificates are beneficial, however any training will be provided.
- Chainsaw certificate would be useful
- Experience with ride-on mowers and commercial grounds maintenance equipment
