What this role really is
This is a hands-on, skilled role where you’ll learn to build premium event spaces from the ground up.
You’ll be involved in:
- Installing marquee structures (and everything that goes inside them)
- Loading and preparing equipment in the yard
- Working on-site as part of a tight-knit team
It’s physical, fast-paced, and requires attention to detail — but it’s incredibly rewarding when you step back and see what you’ve built.

Experience
Previous experience is helpful but not essential. We hire for attitude and potential — full training is provided.
Useful (but not required):
- Construction or site-based experience
- Van driving experience (tell us if you have this)
- Towing / trailer experience (tell us if you have this)
- Forklift or HGV licences (tell us if you have this)
Earnings & Benefits
PAYE Option:
£33,800 – £36,400 per year +overtime
Self-Employed Option:
£37,400 – £41,600 per year +overtime
(Support provided to set this up if required)
Overtime:
Paid at 1.25x after 50 hours per week. Peak season (May–September) offers significant overtime
Typical earnings exceed £40,000+ with overtime

Career Progression
We don’t just hire installers — we develop future leaders. Clear pathway:
Installer → Senior Installer → Team Leader → Senior Leadership
Our self motivated team members can progress within 6–18 months, depending on performance.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 5:00pm (later finishes during peak season - you are paid hourly)
- Optional weekend work available at an increased rate
- Applicants ideally should live within 30 minutes of Baldock (SG7)
Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence (essential)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Happy to work 50-60 hour weeks in the summer
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- High attention to detail
