Rutledge Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator / Assistant for a leading transport and logistics company based in the Ballymena area.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy finance team where you will be responsible for the efficient processing of supplier invoices, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth operation of the accounts payable function.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate:
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, review and verify supplier invoices for accuracy
- Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery documentation
- Process supplier invoices and prepare payments
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve payment queries
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and filing systems
- Ensure payments are processed in line with company procedures and payment terms
- Respond to supplier enquiries regarding invoices and payments
- Assist with month-end and year-end finance processes
- Prepare reports on outstanding invoices and accounts payable balances
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures
- Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation
Requirements / Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience within the transport, logistics, freight or warehousing sector
- AAT, IATI, Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent (or currently studying towards one)
- Experience working in a high-volume Accounts Payable environment
