AIM OF THE ROLE
- To be the first point of call for customers in the venue and/or the door to maximise the customer experience as much as possible through a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- To manage traffic flow of courses and/or entrance to the building.
- To monitor the upkeep of courses and customer areas and follow company health and safety policies to provide the highest standard of customer care.
- Work closely and communicate with the Manager on Duty to manage operation of single ticket sales and large group bookings.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To greet customers and manage the entrance of the venue/courses monitoring group size and wristbands.
- To be extremely welcoming towards customers with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Liaise with door staff on ID issues, no shows etc
- To have strong product knowledge on golf packages, courses and offerings.
- To ensure equipment is available to customers at the beginning of a course and collected at the end.
- To be aware of daily business levels and monitor walk ins against online tickets to ensure the courses run smooth and are not overloaded
- To manage cloakroom service, carefully storing and returning customers belongings, keeping the cloakroom area clean and tidy, and answering customer enquiries.
- To manage and process payment transactions using the POS system.
- To monitor disclaimers.
- To be the customers' main point of call anywhere in the venue.
- Work closely with Manager on duty to manage large group bookings efficiently and correctly, ensuring they understand how their visit works and what to expect.
- To work closely with the Manager on duty and communicate with all team members to ensure that Junkyard Golf Club's standard of customer care is exceeded.
- To be responsible for clearing courses of all customer obstacles/ hazards e.g. spillages, balls.
- To be responsible for upkeep of all courses reporting/documenting faults and cleaning area frequently.
- Upsell merchandise to guests on entry and leaving.
- Upsell second rounds on quiet shifts.
- To frequently monitor toilets.
- To be responsible for cleanliness of venue inclusive but not restricted to set up, clean down, floors, waste and surfaces.
- To be responsible for hosting exclusive hire bookings, including tokens, drinks orders and queue cooling.
- To be able to work in various areas of the venue according to the needs of the business.

GENERAL INFORMATION
- You must be able to work weekends.
- You must be prepared to work flexible hours according to the needs of the business.
- The position requires an amount of manual handling and heavy lifting.
- A fast-paced working environment in a growing company where flexibility and adaptability are required.
