Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tyre Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of vehicle tyres, possess practical mechanical skills, and be committed to delivering excellent customer service. This role involves working in a busy workshop environment, performing tyre fitting, maintenance, and related tasks to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. Duties
- Remove and replace tyres on a variety of vehicles, including cars and light commercial vehicles
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and punctures, advising customers on suitable solutions
- Balance tyres using specialised equipment to ensure smooth vehicle operation
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out tyre fitting and maintenance tasks efficiently
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks related to tyres and wheels
- Assist customers with tyre-related enquiries, providing professional advice and excellent service
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Conduct safety checks on equipment and tools used during tyre fitting procedures
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or automotive maintenance preferred
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Physical strength for heavy lifting of tyres and related equipment
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work during scheduled hours, including weekends if required
