LAPO Skincare, now proudly open in the heart of Fitzrovia since April 2025, is expanding our London leadership team. We are looking for an ambitious, experienced, and people-centred Assistant Manager to help support daily operations and elevate the client experience at our first overseas flagship.

Founded in 2019 in Shanghai’s vibrant Xintiandi district, LAPO leads the field in customised skincare, offering tailored solutions designed to address the limitations of standardised facials and non-surgical cosmetic treatments.
Supported by our New Zealand laboratory and collaborations with 30+ world-class raw material suppliers, LAPO has developed a pioneering skincare system centred around a comprehensive serum selection library.
By 2024, LAPO expanded to over 100 certified skincare centres and more than 1,000 trained skincare therapists across China, with 3 flagship stores and additional locations in development. Our first international clinic opened in April 2025 in London’s Fitzrovia, marking the beginning of our global expansion.
Role Description
Based on-site at our Fitzrovia salon, the Assistant Manager will support the Owner in overseeing day-to-day operations, managing and developing the team, ensuring exceptional service standards, and driving both sales performance and operational excellence.
This role requires a flexible, proactive, and client-focused leader with strong organisational and communication skills. A genuine passion for skincare and beauty is essential. Full product and protocol training will be provided.
Hours:
- 40 hours per week
- 5 out of 7 days on a rotating schedule (weekend availability required)
- Typical shifts: 10:00–19:00 / 09:30–18:30 (1 hr lunch break)
Qualifications and Preferred Skills
Required:
- NVQ Level 3 / VTCT Level 3 Award in Beauty Therapy/ Facial Electrotherapy or equivalent
- Solid command of UK/European work standards and professionalism
Highly Desirable:
- Fluency in Mandarin
- CIDESCO, ITEC Level 4, or additional training in IPL, Chemical Peels, or Microneedling
- Previous experience in a management or supervisory role within a clinic, MediSpa, or high-end beauty environment
- Fundemental understanding of Asian clientele/ East Asian Skin Care

Key Responsibilities
1. Clinic Operations
- Support smooth day-to-day operations and maintain a well-organised, pristine environment
- Implement and reinforce clinic policies and protocols
- Coordinate cross-department workflow and ensure operational efficiency
2. Team Leadership
- Assist with training, coaching, and evaluating staff
- Plan weekly rotas to ensure appropriate coverage
- Motivate and elevate team standards, professionalism, and morale
- Stepping in when necessary in times of staff sickness and extended leave
3. Sales & KPI Performance
- Support sales initiatives, seasonal promotions, and treatment campaigns
- Monitor KPIs, analyse performance data, and contribute ideas for growth
- Encourage team performance aligned with targets and company goals
4. Product & Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory levels, ordering, and merchandising
- Ensure optimal stock turnover and accurate product control
- Maintain productive relationships with suppliers
5. Client Experience
- Uphold exceptional service standards and a luxury client journey
- Resolve client concerns professionally, protecting clinic reputation
- Gather and assess feedback to drive continuous improvement
6. Brand Development & Marketing Support
- Support in-store marketing and brand activation activities
- Help identify new client channels and local partnership opportunities
- Represent and communicate LAPO’s brand values and skincare philosophy
What We Offer
Base Salary: £32,000–£35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Plus: Uncapped commission & performance bonus
