Duties
- Read and interpret roofing schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide installation and repair processes
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and roofing materials to install or repair various roofing systems
- Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using carpentry skills and fabrication techniques
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely to ensure smooth workflow on-site
- Apply roofing techniques such as shingling, membrane installation, or metal roofing with precision and attention to detail
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure durability, weatherproofing, and adherence to safety standards
- Assist with related construction tasks including masonry, plumbing connections, or minor carpentry as needed for complex roof systems
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on roofing projects or related trades such as masonry or carpentry
- Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings used in roofing installations
- Hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, and the use of hand tools and power tools in construction settings
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique
- Knowledge of roofing materials and systems including shingles, membranes, metal panels, and flashing
- Basic understanding of plumbing or masonry work beneficial for integrated building systems
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety protocols and quality workmanship
