Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and restaurant staff to deliver excellent service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to develop their skills within the culinary and hospitality sectors. This role is for Monday - Thursday
Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure cleanliness standards are met
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas
- Supporting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Restocking supplies and ensuring all kitchen equipment is in good working order
- Assisting with organisation of the kitchen to promote a safe and efficient workspace
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or serving roles within hospitality settings is desirable
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks efficiently is preferred
- A keen interest in culinary arts or hospitality will be beneficial for career development within the sector
