You'll play an important role in ensuring components are coated and finished to the highest quality standards, contributing to a technically demanding and rewarding project.
Main Responsibilities
As a Metal Coating Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out specialist coating processes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and precision.
Your duties will include:
- Carrying out specialist metal coating processes, including electroplating, on precision-engineered components.
- Preparing components prior to coating.
- Operating and monitoring specialist coating equipment.
- Conducting quality inspections to ensure components meet strict engineering standards.
- Following technical specifications and established manufacturing procedures.
- Supporting production activities and identifying any process issues.
- Handling high-value components and specialist equipment with care.
- Working safely in an environment where hazardous substances are used.
Requirements
- Previous experience in metal coating, electroplating, surface treatment or a similar specialist manufacturing process.
- Experience working within an engineering, manufacturing or precision production environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- The ability to follow technical procedures and engineering specifications accurately.
- Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
- A professional, reliable approach and a strong commitment to health and safety.
