Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Coach for our multisports programme. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in inspiring young athletes, fostering teamwork, and developing their sporting skills across various disciplines. Responsibilities
- Lead and organise multisports sessions, ensuring activities are engaging, safe, and age-appropriate.
- Provide clear instruction and demonstrate techniques to optimise participant development.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence among participants.
- Monitor participant progress and offer constructive feedback to enhance skills and enjoyment.
- Collaborate with programme organisers to plan sessions that align with programme objectives.
- Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Act as a positive role model, promoting values such as respect, discipline, and perseverance.
- Maintain, transport equipment and ensure the training area remains clean and organised.
Experience
- Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably within youth programmes or multisports environments.
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively with participants of varying ages and abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate others and foster a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to sports coaching environments.
- Previous leadership experience in a coaching or sporting context is desirable but not essential.
