About the Role
Emperia College is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced A-Level Maths & Further Maths Tutor to teach students preparing for their A-Level examinations.
The role involves face-to-face teaching on weekends at our centre and online teaching on weekdays.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, support students with their mathematical understanding, and prepare them effectively for A-Level Maths and Further Maths examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach A-Level Maths and Further Maths through one-to-one and small group sessions.
- Deliver face-to-face lessons on weekends.
- Deliver online lessons on weekdays.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual students' needs.
- Teach key areas including Pure Mathematics, Mechanics and Statistics.
- Prepare students for examinations using revision materials, past papers and effective exam techniques.
- Identify areas where students require additional support and provide targeted teaching.
- Assess student progress and provide regular feedback.
- Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
- Help students develop confidence, problem-solving skills and strong mathematical understanding.
Requirements
- Degree in Mathematics or a related subject, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience teaching or tutoring A-Level Maths and Further Maths.
- Strong knowledge of the A-Level Maths and Further Maths curriculum.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Availability for face-to-face teaching on weekends and online teaching on weekdays.
- Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
