Duties
- Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients to assist chefs with food preparation tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, utensils, pots, pans, and equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Support the organization and storage of ingredients and supplies in accordance with safety protocols
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures to keep the kitchen tidy and environmentally friendly
- Help with basic food service tasks such as setting up stations or delivering items to the dining area when needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Support the team during busy service periods by performing general cleaning duties and ensuring smooth kitchen operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices
