Job Title: Stock Controller
Reports To: Transport Operations Manager
Main Purpose of Role:
To manage and maintain accurate stock levels across the business, ensuring materials and finished goods are controlled, recorded, and available in line with operational and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stock Control & Accuracy
· Maintain stock accuracy targets and minimize variances
· Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
· Carry out regular stock counts and audits
2. Inventory Management
· Ensure stock levels are sufficient to meet production and customer demand
· Track stock movements and update systems accordingly
· Work closely with warehouse and production teams
3. Reporting & Analysis
· Produce stock and inventory reports as required
· Analyse stock trends and identify areas for improvement
4. Systems & Data Accuracy
· Maintain accurate data within stock systems (e.g. SAGE or ERP systems)
· Ensure all stock transactions are recorded correctly
5. Health, Safety & Compliance
· Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work
· Maintain a clean and organised working environment
6. General Responsibilities
· Support operational efficiency and performance
· Undertake additional duties as required
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential
Strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently
Good communication skills
Basic IT skills (Excel, systems)
Desirable
Experience in stock control or warehouse environment
Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAGE)
Understanding of production environments
