We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our established dental practice. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a positive first impression
- Manage appointment scheduling efficiently, including confirming, rescheduling, and cancelling as necessary
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management system
- Answer phone calls promptly, providing courteous assistance and directing enquiries appropriately
- Process payments and insurance claims accurately and efficiently
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, and maintaining a tidy reception area
- Support the dental team with clerical duties to ensure seamless daily operations
Skills
- Proven office experience or administrative background with excellent organisational skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using computer software, including practice management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in record keeping and data entry
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive patient information discreetly
- Prior experience in a healthcare or dental setting is essential; training will be provided for specific duties
