QSD Fire Systems are looking for an experienced labourer to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone practical, reliable and hard-working who wants to develop within the fire protection industry.
The role will involve working across our different divisions, mainly supporting our fire suppression and fire stopping teams on domestic, residential and commercial projects.
The Role
You will be assisting our installers and site teams with day-to-day works, including:
- Helping with the installation of fire suppression systems
- Assisting with passive fire stopping works
- Loading, unloading and moving materials
- Preparing work areas and keeping sites tidy
- Using hand tools and basic power tools
- Supporting qualified installers on site
- Following health and safety procedures
- Travelling to different sites across North Wales and the North West
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in construction or site labouring
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work hard
- Practical and hands-on
- Comfortable working on building sites and in occupied properties
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Keen to learn and progress within the company
- Presentable and respectful when working in customers’ homes or live sites
Experience in plumbing, pipework, fire stopping, drylining, joinery or general construction would be beneficial, but full training can be provided for the right person.
Requirements
- Previous labouring or construction experience
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- CSCS card preferred
- Good attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to travel to different sites
- Willingness to learn fire suppression and fire stopping systems
