Approved Electrician
About the Role
LS Elec Ltd is looking for an experienced Approved Electrician to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis.
We are a friendly, ambitious electrical contractor based in Peterborough, specialising in domestic and commercial electrical compliance. As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to grow with us.
For the first six months, your role will primarily involve carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and completing associated remedial works. As the business expands, there will be opportunities to become involved in a wider range of electrical installation and compliance projects.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week)
- Overtime available at weekends (optional)
Areas Covered
Our work is primarily based across:
- Peterborough
- Leicester
- Nottingham
No working away is required.
Main Duties
- Carry out domestic and commercial EICRs.
- Diagnose electrical faults.
- Complete remedial works following inspections.
- Produce accurate certification and reports.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.
- Represent the company professionally on site.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
- ECS Gold Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable (Not Essential)
Experience or qualifications in:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Solar PV
- Battery Storage Systems
