Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative who can also drive various Fork Lift Trucks to join our Warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of stock within the warehouse, loading and unloading containers & vehicles, and ensuring goods are stored accurately and safe, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, materials handling, The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics to contribute to our organisation’s success.
Duties
- Operate Bendi / Flexi / Pivot FLT trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles.
- Move stock and materials around the warehouse.
- Carry out general warehouse duties, including picking, packing, and stock rotation.
- Assist with warehouse management system (WMS) updates to track inventory movements and delivery schedules
- Support materials handling tasks within the warehouse, including organising stock and managing storage areas
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and work area
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse management system utilisation and materials handling procedures
- Valid, in-date FLT Bendi / Flexi / Pivot licence.
- Proven experience operating the relevant FLT in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and safety practices.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes within a logistics environment
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for documentation accuracy
- Physical fitness for heavy lifting and extended periods of driving or standing
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients
