At OCU Group, we're delivering some of the UK's most significant utilities and energy infrastructure projects. From renewable energy and power networks to rail, telecoms and water, our people are making a real impact every day.
We're looking for a talented Content Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing & Communications team and help bring those stories to life based in Stockport, telling the stories behind the projects shaping the UK's future.
If you're a natural storyteller with a passion for creating engaging content, building relationships and turning technical information into compelling narratives, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Content is at the heart of how we communicate with our people, our clients and the wider industry. As our Content Marketing Specialist, you'll play a key role in creating authentic, high-quality content that showcases OCU's people, projects, expertise and culture.
Working closely with operational teams across the business, you'll produce a wide variety of content for both internal and external audiences. Whether you're interviewing engineers on site, writing project case studies, creating website content or supporting social media campaigns, no two days will be the same.
You'll be part of a collaborative and creative Marketing & Communications team, helping to strengthen the OCU brand across multiple channels.
As our Content Marketing Specialist, you'll:
- Create engaging written content including news stories, project updates, case studies, website copy, blog articles, award submissions and internal communications.
- Research, interview and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to develop accurate, engaging and authentic content.
- Visit projects and offices across the UK to gather stories, capture insight and build relationships with operational teams.
- Develop compelling case studies that showcase OCU's expertise, innovation and project success.
- Identify creative opportunities to tell stories that support business objectives and strengthen the OCU brand.
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging social media content, helping to grow our online presence and increase engagement.
- Maintain and update website content, ensuring it remains accurate, relevant and aligned with our brand.
- Gather information from multiple sources and translate technical subject matter into clear, engaging content for a variety of audiences.
- Support internal communication campaigns that keep our people informed, connected and engaged.
- Proofread and edit marketing and communications materials, maintaining a consistent tone of voice and high editorial standards.
- Assist with the creation of marketing collateral, presentations, campaign content and video scripts.
- Monitor industry news and emerging trends to identify opportunities for timely and relevant content.
- Support the wider Marketing & Communications team on campaigns, projects and business initiatives.
If you're a talented content creator who loves uncovering great stories, building relationships and creating content that informs, inspires and engages, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and help tell the stories that are powering the future with OCU Group.
You're curious, creative and passionate about storytelling. You enjoy meeting people, asking the right questions and uncovering the stories that make organisations stand out.
You'll be equally comfortable interviewing project teams on a construction site as you are writing engaging website content or creating content for LinkedIn.
You'll bring energy, initiative and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining consistently high standards.
We're looking for someone who has:
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in a content marketing, communications, PR or marketing role.
- Exceptional copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
- Strong interviewing and communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience creating content across multiple platforms, including websites, social media and internal communications.
- The ability to turn complex or technical information into engaging, accessible content.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and a genuine passion for creating outstanding content.
- Confidence working independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
