Project Manager
Soup Creative Ltd | Full-time | £30,000–£35,000 d.o.e
─────────────────────────────────────
We're Soup Creative
A strategy to production agency. We make TV commercials, brand films, animation, social content, and podcasts then we run the campaigns that get them seen. Our clients include Halewood International (Whitley Neill, Dead Man's Fingers), GreenThumb, and a growing roster of ambitious brands that trust us to make work that actually moves the needle.
We're a team of 11, growing, and we care as much about how we work together as what we produce.
─────────────────────────────────────
The Role
We need a Project Manager who delights clients and keeps the engine running, someone who makes sure the right people are working on the right things at the right time, projects stay on budget and on schedule, and the team isn't blocked waiting for decisions or direction.
This isn't a creative role. But it is a role in a creative business, which means you need to understand how creative work gets made, earn the respect of producers, editors, animators and camera ops, and translate clearly between the client world and the production floor.
You'll sit at the centre of the business, coordinating across strategy, production, and delivery, and you'll work closely with both founders to make sure nothing falls through the gaps.
─────────────────────────────────────
What You'll Do
- Own the project plan across all active work: timelines, budgets, deliverables, dependencies
- Run the weekly delivery rhythm — keeping Asana accurate, flagging risks early, unblocking the team before problems escalate
- Coordinate handoffs between strategy, production, and campaign delivery
- Keep clients updated on delivery status in a clear, confident way
- Chair internal project check-ins and track actions through to completion
- Spot when scope is shifting and flag it commercially before it becomes a problem
- Help build and improve the processes that make the agency run more smoothly
─────────────────────────────────────
What We Are Looking For
- You'll have worked in an agency, creative, digital, production, PR, it doesn't matter, and you'll know what it takes to keep complex, multi-discipline projects on track.
- More specifically:
- You're organised without being rigid. You know when to hold the line on a deadline and when to be flexible.
- You're a clear communicator — internally and externally. People always know where things stand.
- You understand how creative work gets made. You don't need to be a creative, but you do need to respect the craft.
- You're proactive. You spot problems before they happen, not after.
- You’re a whizz using PM tools like Asana (or similar), Google Workspace, and keeping systems up to date.
- You don't burn out chasing other people's mistakes — you build the conditions where fewer mistakes happen.
─────────────────────────────────────
What We Don't Need
We'll be honest: we've had PMs come in, attracted by the creative side of what we do, and then struggle with the discipline that delivery requires. This role is not primarily creative. If your main motivation is to be closer to the creative work, this probably isn't the right fit.
We need someone who gets genuine satisfaction from a clean project plan, a team that's unblocked, and a client who always knows what's happening.
─────────────────────────────────────
What You'll Get
- £30,000–£35,000 depending on experience
- A senior, close-knit team that knows how to make great work
- Real variety — no two projects are the same
- The opportunity to build and own the PM function properly
- A business that's actively investing in how it operates and grows
