We are recruiting for a HGV Technician to join our client’s busy commercial vehicle workshop in Southampton, Hampshire. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician seeking a stable, rewarding career within a leading UK dealership group. The role involves working on a fleet of HGVs, maintaining operational efficiency, and providing essential roadside support.

- Overtime available, earning up to £19.50 per hour depending on shift worked
- 48-hour week, 4 days on 4 days off, from 06:00 to 18:00 (days)

Duties of a HGV Technician:
- Diagnosing and repairing vehicles according to manufacturer standards
- Carrying out servicing, repairs, and fault diagnosis on HGVs
- Roadside breakdown assistance and call-outs
- Conducting vehicle inspections and MOT preparation/presentation
- Performing vehicle fault diagnosis and defect repairs
- Ensuring all work is completed within standard times
- Accurate completion of all relevant paperwork
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification or equivalent as a HGV Technician
- Proven experience working on HGVs or Commercial Vehicles
- Strong organisational skills and technical knowledge
- Ability to use own initiative and work independently
- Full UK Driving Licence; HGV licence is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Eligibility to work within the UK
