Our client is a growing specialist care provider seeking an ambitious Head of Business Development & Partnerships to shape their strategic direction.
The Role
This is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the organisation's strategic growth agenda. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you will identify, create and deliver opportunities that enable the organisation to support more people through sustainable growth, service innovation and long-term strategic partnerships.
You'll work across commissioning, housing, health and social care systems to identify unmet need, influence service development and position the organisation as a trusted strategic partner within specialist adult social care.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the development and delivery of the organisation's Growth Strategy.
- Identify opportunities for sustainable growth across supported living, residential and specialist community services, including new geographical areas.
- Build trusted relationships with Local Authorities, ICBs, NHS organisations, commissioners and housing providers.
- Identify gaps in local provision and develop innovative, person-centred service models.
- Maintain a robust opportunity pipeline and lead high-quality tenders, proposals and business cases.
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations with commissioners and strategic partners.
- Work with operational teams to mobilise new services and contracts.
- Monitor commissioning priorities and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Act as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, championing innovation and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Significant senior leadership experience in business development, strategic partnerships, commissioning or organisational growth within health or adult social care.
- A proven track record of delivering sustainable growth and securing new business.
- Experience building relationships with Local Authorities, NHS organisations, ICBs and commissioners.
- Demonstrable success leading tender submissions and competitive procurement processes.
- Experience working within regulated adult social care services.
- Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness balanced with a genuine commitment to person-centred care.
- Experience in learning disability, autism, mental health, complex care or supported living services is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across operational regions.
