We are seeking a talented, organised, self-sufficient supervisor to work with the production manager to keep production running smoothly and efficiently .
We need a “hands on” supervisor who can deal with problems and motivate the team with a pragmatic and logical approach, while maintaining our high standards.
An understanding of the BRCGS Food Standard would be advantageous for this role as this is the standard we work to in the factory.
You will have a solutions-led approach to your work, and supported by your colleagues, you will manage priorities and delegate effectively.
Job Role:
- Ensure that all duties are carried out with respect for Health and Safety
- Prioritising work schedules to ensure orders are met.
- Ensuring that all technical requirements and specifications are adhered to.
- Managing staff on a day-to-day basis
- Factory based role, with some office-based tasks required.
Requirements:
- Sound practical knowledge of a production environment
- Hands on approach to solving problems is essential.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- IT experience is preferred including word, excel and outlook.
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm and focused in difficult situations.
- Able to work autonomously and take direction and feedback.
- Flexible ‘can do’ attitude with a confident, friendly, and approachable manner.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Ability to be highly flexible with regards working hours which involves early starts and potentially weekend work if required due to business needs.
A good understanding and use of the English language is required.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 6am - 5pm standard hours but shorter hours when quieter.
