Q Care are recruiting an Employment Support Coach / Trainer to join their dedicated training department.
The post holder is employed to deliver high quality training to branch staff and support workers across Q Care to meet the requirements of regulations and company standards. You will work to Social Care Wales, All Wales Induction Framework, this encompasses a 6-month induction program where you will train, nurture and support staff to complete
You will train using blended learning which shall include classroom based training, eLearning and competency assessments within the community. Your supportive and nurturing approach with ensure that staff can learn at a pace that is suited to them using a variety of learning tools.
Duties and responsibilities:
- To deliver effective social care training to trainee’s
- To update data of training onto the company’s system (People Planner)
- To maintain records of training and update training matrix system
- To ensure that all course content is current and relevant and in line with current standards
- To participate in the development and creation of training material in line with business needs and legislation
- To ensure the implementation of the All Wales Induction Framework and Mentor trainee’s through the process.
- To understand the blended learning used i.e. E learning, Workshops, Workbooks.
- To ensure that the relevant training material (workbooks, handouts) are available for course delivery
- To plan refresher training and schedule into Training Calendar.
Qualifications and Experience
- Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification or willing to study to complete this qualification
- Experience in the care sector delivering personal care services
- Training qualification (PTTLLS, CET, TRAIN THE TRAINER AWARD) or willing to study for this
- Knowledge and understanding of legislation and regulations specific to Health and Social Care
- Good working knowledge of IT systems
- Must have full driving license and means of transport to provide training and be able to support at all branch offices within Q Care

This role will require travel between our Mid Wales region - this will include travelling between our Ceredigion, Newtown and Powys branches.
A full UK driving license will be essential for this position.
