We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Asbestos Surveyor to join our team in UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting surveys to identify asbestos-containing materials within various premises, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive asbestos surveys in accordance with current legislation and industry standards.
- Collect samples of suspected asbestos materials for laboratory analysis.
- Analyse survey data to identify the presence, type, and condition of asbestos-containing materials.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and necessary remedial actions.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of survey activities and sample locations.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, adhering strictly to health and safety protocols.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation related to asbestos management and surveying practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Asbestos Surveyor or in a similar environmental health role.
- Strong analysis skills to interpret survey data accurately.
- Relevant qualifications such as P402 (Managing Asbestos in Buildings) or equivalent recognised certification.
- Knowledge of current asbestos legislation and regulations within the UK.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in diverse environments.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
