Buddies Clubs and Services is a respected and long-standing organisation based in the west of Glasgow. We deliver a range of clubs and activity programmes for children and young people with additional support needs and disabilities from across Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire. Our focus is on building confidence and self-esteem, encouraging each young person to discover and develop new abilities. Equally important to us is ensuring that everyone who attends feels included, enjoys their time with us, and has opportunities to form and maintain positive friendships.
We are currently recruiting enthusiastic individuals to join our team on a contracted basis (15 hours), working weekdays in our outreach programme. Successful applicants will be expected to work the pre-agreed shift pattern as part of their contract. Before starting fully in post, new team members will complete several shadow shifts to gain practical experience and training in the role.
These positions would suit reliable, committed candidates who are passionate about supporting vulnerable children and adults. The role involves working across our different services and includes providing personal care where required. There may also be opportunities to take on additional hours at other times of the year, depending on individual availability and interest, which can be discussed further during employment.

An appropriate qualification in line with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) requirements is desirable, or a willingness to work towards gaining one. Where appropriate, funding may be available to complete the qualification. Employees must register with the SSSC if not already registered.
We are committed to continuous professional development and provide full training. All successful applicants will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and provide two satisfactory references before commencing employment.
