Are you an enthusiastic, hardworking individual looking to excel in a fast-paced healthcare environment? We are a large NHS GP practice seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. This is a varied and challenging role that requires commitment, adaptability, and a drive to deliver excellent patient care alongside our GPs and nurses.

Your role will be varied and will include tasks such as:
- Working the front desk, warmly greeting patients, listening to their needs, and resolving their queries or requests with professionalism and care.
- Utilising the practice system, recording data accurately and consistently to maintain our high standards of confidentiality.
- Managing telephone calls professionally, addressing patient concerns, booking appointments, and directing queries appropriately.
- Handling emails using Microsoft Outlook, including responding promptly to patient and clinical queries and managing the practice's inbox.
- Making patient referrals via the e-Referral System (e-RS).
- Assisting with prescriptions processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

The exact shift pattern for this role is yet to be confirmed, however we are looking for someone who can commit to working 32-37.5 hours per week.
The practice is open Monday-Friday.
Shifts fall between the hours of 07:45-18:45 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Shifts fall between the hours of 07:15-20:15 on Wednesdays.
Skills required:
- Level 2 literacy and numeracy
- Proficient in office administration tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
The successful applicant will be subject to a standard DBS check and the job offer will be conditional on receiving a satisfactory DBS.
