We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on pizza making. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft delicious, high-quality pizzas in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including dough, sauces, and toppings
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during food preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy periods
- Monitor stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new pizza varieties or enhancements
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques related to pizza making and meal preparation
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices within a commercial kitchen environment
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous restaurant experience or serving background is advantageous but not essential for entry-level applicants
- Passion for culinary arts and creating high-quality dishes that delight customers
