Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen and Café Manager to oversee daily operations within our vibrant food service environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the kitchen and café team, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all kitchen and café activities, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
- Lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff, baristas, and service personnel to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations and company policies.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control stock to minimise waste.
- Develop menus in collaboration with the culinary team, incorporating innovative dishes and seasonal offerings.
- Ensure that all food production meets quality standards and maintains consistency.
- Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and performance reviews to foster a motivated and skilled team.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to uphold high levels of satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and café areas.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Supervising experience with strong team management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Background in culinary arts or hospitality management is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in food production, serving, barista work, or hotel operations is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Good communication skills with a friendly approach towards customers and staff alike.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs.
Pay: £25,420.00-£29,000.00 per year
