Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems within commercial environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a broad skill set, and deliver exceptional service in a growing industry. The successful candidate would be expected to work away from home when required.
Full Time Post - Minimum 40 hrs per week with offer of overtime during busy periods.
29 days paid Annual Leave (including Bank Holidays).
Use of company vehicle (Van).
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair commercial plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and drainage.
- Maintain and troubleshoot heating systems such as boilers, radiators, pumps, and thermostats to ensure optimal performance.
- Complete sanitaryware installations to a high standard.
- Be confident in above ground drainage and screwed steel pipe installations.
- Proficient in installation of copper pipework using both soldered and press fit methods.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete installation and repair tasks accurately.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing and heating systems to identify issues proactively and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Read technical drawings, mechanical schematics, and basic math calculations to plan installations or repairs effectively.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure projects are completed on time with high quality standards.
- Able to work as part of a team or alone using own initiative.
- Proven experience working as a commercial plumbing or heating engineer with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- NVQ in Plumbing or Pipefitting (or similar)
- Gas Safe qualification desirable.
- Valid full UK Driving License preferred for transportation between sites.
- Recent CRB check (or happy to undertake a CRB check) to allow work in Healthcare/Educational settings.
- Prior experience working on complex commercial plumbing or heating projects is highly desirable.

Pay: £30,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
