Temporary post until 31/08/27 Teaching Assistant Level 2 (Grade 6) to work in our EYFS setting

The Governing Body and Headteacher of St Mary’s CE (Aided) Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated pupil support teaching assistant (Level 2) to join our dedicated KS1 team supporting the learning of pupils in KS1.

Our teaching assistants play a vital role in the educational, personal and social development of our children. We require all our staff to be friendly, hardworking, flexible and able to use their own initiative.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and caring professional, with knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum, phonics and SEND provision.

Hours of work are 27.5 hrs per week term time only.

You will:

Join a team committed to achieving the school’s vision and values.
Need to have had recent experience of working in an KS1/EYFS Setting
Be expected to possess a strong knowledge of the national curriculum to ensure good practice.
Have experienced additional SEN training.
Have experience of supporting and adapting learning to support children with SEND.
Be able to liaise with the KS1 team, taking direct instruction from the class teacher to undertake work and work in collaboration with other staff within the team.
Have high expectations of empathy and care.
Be able to form strong and professional working relationships with parents and carers, colleagues and other professionals.
