The Future Tutors is a team of energetic and dynamic individuals who are truly passionate about teaching, inspiring students, and being part of a fun and friendly environment. We pride ourselves on helping students achieve exceptional results and setting standards in the tuition industry far beyond what is already out there.
With our community continuing to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and academically strong Science Tutor who is able to teach GCSE and A-Level students across all three Science subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Previous teaching or tutoring experience is desirable but not essential. We provide excellent training, guidance and ongoing support to help you develop as a tutor and reach your true potential as a Future Tutor.
What We’re Looking For
- A confident and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for Science and education.
- Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with the ability to teach students up to A-Level standard.
- Ability to teach all three Sciences at GCSE level and Biology, Chemistry and Physics at A-Level.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality.
- The ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly and adapt teaching to different students’ needs.
- A strong academic background, with candidates expected to have achieved Grade 8 or above in GCSE Scienceand preferably Grade A or above at A-Level in the relevant Science subjects.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is advantageous but not required.
- Able to start as soon as possible.
- Able to travel to our centre in Ilford, London for face-to-face tutoring.
- Flexible availability, with working hours available to suit your schedule.
As a Tutor, Your Key Objectives Are:
Teach
You will work with students who need support in Science, helping them develop their knowledge, confidence and exam technique. You will plan and deliver engaging, structured sessions both online and face-to-face, on a one-to-one or small-group basis.
You should be confident teaching the GCSE and A-Level specifications across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, adapting your approach according to each student's ability, learning style and individual goals.
Inspire
You will build strong, positive relationships with students and inspire them to become fearless learners. We want our tutors to encourage curiosity, confidence and a genuine enjoyment of Science.
Demonstrate Progress
You will monitor and track students' learning and development, identifying areas for improvement and helping students work towards their desired academic outcomes and examination results.
Promote an Excellent Customer Experience
We genuinely care about providing an excellent service to our students and parents while creating an incredible working environment for our tutors. We encourage our tutors to embrace constructive feedback and contribute their own ideas so that we can continue to thrive as an outstanding tuition provider.
