We currently have an opening for a Site Manager to oversee a 2-week project in Glasgow Braehead.
This is overseeing groundworks and civils works.

Construction Site Manager – Groundworks & Civils
We are looking for an experienced Construction Site Manager with a strong background in groundworks and civils to join our team.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of site, coordinating subcontractors, monitoring progress and ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the required standard.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations
- Oversee groundworks and civils packages
- Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant and deliveries
- Monitor progress against the construction programme
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and RAMS
- Maintain high standards of health & safety across the site
- Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks and briefings
- Monitor quality and resolve site issues as they arise
- Maintain site records, progress photos and daily reports
- Liaise with the Project Manager, subcontractors, suppliers and client team
- Ensure good housekeeping and site organisation at all times
Experience Required
- Previous experience working as a Construction Site Manager
- Strong experience in groundworks and civil engineering
- Good knowledge of drainage, external lighting and line marking
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Strong understanding of site health & safety requirements
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Confident managing programme, quality and site logistics
Qualifications
- SMSTS – essential
- CSCS – essential
- First Aid at Work – essential
- Fire Marshal - essential
- Temporary Works qualification – desirable
- Relevant construction/civils qualification – desirable
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, organised and proactive, with the confidence to manage site activities and drive works forward.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £230 - £280 per day
Location: Braehead
Schedule: Monday to Sunday (7 days per week)
Start Date: Monday 21st September
