Our engineers work with a wide range of customers, from independent catering businesses through to schools, colleges, care settings and NHS facilities.
The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Catering Equipment Engineer to join our established engineering team.
The successful candidate will have experience in the service, maintenance, fault finding and repair of commercial catering equipment, including both gas and electric appliances.
The role will include working on a wide range of equipment such as combination ovens, cooking ranges, fryers, grills, dishwashers, glasswashers, food preparation equipment and other associated commercial kitchen appliances.
The working area will primarily cover the East and West Midlands.
Gas-qualified candidates should hold a minimum of CCCN1, COMCAT1, COMCAT3 and COMCAT5. Strong electrical fault-finding skills are also required.
Experience of commercial refrigeration would be advantageous but is not essential.
Equipment manufacturer training will be provided where courses are available, together with opportunities to develop additional skills across refrigeration, installation and other areas of the business.
The role involves travelling to a wide variety of customer sites throughout the Midlands. As our customer base includes education, healthcare and care settings, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
There will be opportunities for overtime and participation in a weekend emergency standby rota.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
Normal working hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime and standby allowance payable in addition to basic salary.
