About the Role
Newry has a growing base of software digital services and business technology companies and at Netysoft Software and Business Systems we focus on building reliable applications and platforms that support real operational needs.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer who can take ownership of complex development work contribute to technical decisions and help improve the quality scalability and maintainability of our software products.
You will work closely with product engineering quality assurance and business teams to design build test and improve software solutions from initial requirements through to production release.

Key Responsibilities
Software Development: Design develop test and maintain reliable software applications and services that support business and customer requirements.
Technical Design: Contribute to architecture decisions system design data flows integrations and technical implementation plans.
Code Quality: Write clean maintainable and well tested code and participate in code reviews to maintain consistent engineering standards.
System Improvement: Identify performance scalability reliability and maintainability issues and implement practical improvements.
Technical Problem Solving: Investigate complex software defects production issues and integration problems and develop effective long term solutions.
Delivery Collaboration: Work with product and business teams to understand requirements estimate development effort and deliver features according to agreed priorities.
Engineering Support: Provide technical guidance to other developers share knowledge and support consistent development practices across the team.
Continuous Improvement: Evaluate development processes tools and engineering practices and recommend improvements that increase delivery quality and efficiency.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: At least 5 years of professional software development experience with responsibility for designing and delivering production applications.
Programming Knowledge: Strong experience with at least one modern programming language and a solid understanding of software design principles data structures APIs and application architecture.
Development Practices: Good understanding of automated testing version control code review continuous integration and modern software delivery practices.
Cloud Knowledge: Experience working with cloud platforms containerised applications or distributed systems is preferred.
Analytical Skills: Able to investigate technical issues evaluate different solutions and make sound engineering decisions based on performance reliability and maintainability.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions clearly to engineering and non technical stakeholders.
Organisation: Able to manage multiple development priorities maintain accurate technical documentation and deliver work against agreed timelines.
Tools: Experience with modern development environments source control platforms CI pipelines monitoring tools and issue tracking systems is preferred.
Mindset: You are technically curious dependable and quality focused. You take ownership of difficult engineering problems make pragmatic decisions and continually look for ways to improve software reliability maintainability and performance.
Pay: £4,400.00-£5,200.00 per month
