A family run business opened in September 2023, our mission is to be the best brunch and coffee spot around, where customers feel relaxed and look forward to conversations with a vibrant and familiar team.
Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly, passionate, and dedicated supervisor to join our café. You will have a love for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and a strong willingness to contribute to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our customers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of our team and contribute to the success of our café.
As part of the management team, you will uphold standards set by the manager and strive to make sure that all customers have a positive experience.
This role includes weekdays and weekends between the hours of 8am-6pm, 15-24 hours across 2-3 days.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for managing the shift in the absence of the manager
- Key holder responsibilities to include opening and closing the cafe as needed, making sure all necessary equipment is switched off at EOD and the premises is left secure.
- Handle customer complaints/comments in a professional manner and work quickly to resolve issues where possible
- Prepare and serve a variety of espresso based coffees and other beverages
- Attend to customers by taking orders, recommending dishes and pre-empt customer needs
- Uphold health and safety requirements
- Uphold food hygiene requirements with particular attention to understanding dietary requirements and preferences
- Assist with basic kitchen responsibilities
- Operate a till to input orders and take payments
- Work as part of a team to help all team members perform efficiently
- General café duties to include cleaning
- Alert the manager and kitchen staff to stock that has run low or needs ordered
Experience:
An enthusiastic attitude and willingness to develop yourself is the most important thing to us, however a minimum of 3 years experience in a hospitality/cafe setting is essential as this is a supervisor position.
