Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ground Worker/Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various site preparation, drainage, and construction tasks to support a 3 year project in Harrietsham, Kent. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and capable of working efficiently in outdoor environments. All positions are paid, including internships, and offer valuable experience within the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with site clearance, including moving materials and debris
- Digging trenches, holes, or foundations as required
- Loading and unloading materials using manual tools or equipment
- Assisting skilled tradespeople with their tasks as needed
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by tidying work areas and disposing of waste appropriately
- Supporting the setup and dismantling of site facilities such as fencing, signage, or temporary structures
- Operating basic hand tools under supervision and following safety protocols
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or labouring roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well within a team
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites is desirable
- A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn how to operate site vehicles is a plus
