We are now accepting applications for the following position:
LEAD SERVER
The Lead Server will be responsible for taking, delivering orders, and customer service; assist to oversee employees in absence of the F&B Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Assist the management of the restaurant through set up and service
- Lead and manage employees; understand employee positions well enough to perform duties in supervisor absence
- Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocate sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; lead by example
- Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement and a passion for providing service
- Welcome guests and promptly attend to tables
- Serve food and beverages to guests making recommendations if needed
- Share menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests
- Record transactions in the MICROS system correctly and timely
- Check-in with guests to assure satisfaction with each course and beverage
- Clean tables, complete closing duties and re-stock tableware and other supplies
- Deliver a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
- Issue checks and accept payment
- Help dining room staff by setting and clearing tables; replenishing water; serving beverages
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a high-volume restaurant is essential
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well in environment with time constraints
- Ability to troubleshoot effectively
- Wine knowledge required
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, performing work accurately and efficiently
- Must maintain a professional image
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs; sit, stand, walk for an extended period of time
- Must be comfortable working a flexible schedule and have the ability to work outside of normal business hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Be able to work inside and outside under various weather conditions
Salary: US$8.00– US$11.50 per hour + gratuities
