Design & Technology Teacher – Chesterfield
Full-Time | Opportunities Available Now & September 2026 | Long-Term Opportunity
The Supply Register is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Chesterfield to recruit a Full-Time Design & Technology Teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate DT specialist who wants to inspire students through creativity, practical learning, and innovation across Key Stage 3 and 4.
The role includes:
- Delivering engaging Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Developing students’ practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities
- Assessing, tracking, and supporting student progress
- Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment
- Supporting curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
- Working collaboratively within a supportive DT department
We’re looking for candidates who:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level
- Have strong subject knowledge (e.g. Product Design, Engineering, Resistant Materials, or similar)
- Are passionate about practical learning and student achievement
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management
- Work effectively as part of a team
