Full-Time or Part-Time Opportunity at Cherries at Abbey Farm
We’re looking for a friendly, hardworking and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Cherries at Abbey Farm.
Cherries is a small, independent, award-winning café set in beautiful countryside surroundings in Abbotsbury. We’re a busy and welcoming venue where no two days are ever the same. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, relaxed atmosphere for both our customers and our team, making it a genuinely lovely place to work with a supportive environment and a great team around you.
This role could particularly suit an apprentice or a keen cook looking to gain experience in a professional kitchen environment, as full training and support will be provided. The role can be tailored to either part-time or full-time hours for the right person.
What the role involves:
- Supporting the Head Chef and kitchen team during service
- Food preparation
- Assisting with plating and presentation of dishes
- Assisting in keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly
- KP duties
- Helping with stock organisation and deliveries
- Supporting with occasional evening events throughout the season
- Assisting with the general day-to-day running of the kitchen
What we’re looking for:
- A positive and hardworking attitude
- Reliable and able to work well within a team
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Someone who can reliably commute to Abbotsbury for shifts
- An interest in food and hospitality
- Experience is helpful but not essential
Full support and training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone wanting to build confidence and gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen.
