Join our dynamic team as a Passive Fire Protection Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in safeguarding buildings and occupants through expert installation and maintenance of passive fire protection systems. Duties
- Install, inspect, and maintain passive fire protection systems such as fire-resistant walls, doors, coatings, and intumescent materials across various construction sites.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and safety teams to interpret schematics and technical drawings related to fire protection layouts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to accurately cut, shape, and install fireproofing materials.
- Conduct site assessments to identify areas requiring passive fire protection upgrades or repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards for fire safety.
- Assist in the preparation of construction painting and masonry work related to fireproofing applications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of installations, inspections, and maintenance activities for quality assurance.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, plastering, masonry, or carpentry.
- Strong knowledge of schematics and technical drawings specific to fire protection systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in a construction environment.
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques for custom fireproofing components.
- Ability to interpret construction plans and technical specifications accurately.
- Experience working with construction painting and masonry related to passive fire protection installations.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and building codes governing passive fire protection systems.
