We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and experienced TA to support within our welcoming and inclusive school. Under the direction of class teachers, duties will include supporting general teaching and learning and assisting staff in the development and implementation of programmes to support some of our most vulnerable children. You will be enthusiastic to engage and enrich the lives of the children in our school, with knowledge, skills and quality experiences. We have an exciting and forward-thinking approach to relational behaviour in school and all staff effectively use our relational behaviour policy, which makes a very happy and calm environment to learn and work. Our ideal candidate will be positive, enthusiastic and ambitious and instil our school values of ‘ready, respectful, engaged’. You need to be able to establish strong relationships with children, colleagues and our families. Ideally you would have extensive experience of working with children with SEND needs and a commitment to working as an integral part of the school team.
In return for your hard work and dedication we will offer you:
- A supportive environment and a dedicated team around you where talents are valued and nurtured.
- High quality continuous professional development.
- A fantastic community of children, teachers, governors, and parents.
About us:
Ravensdale Infant and Nursery School is a larger than average infant and nursery school and the only one of its kind in the local area. We are a Local Authority School and work closely as a positive and supportive staff team alongside our parents and community. An important element of our school is to use the outdoor environment at every opportunity, to enhance and enrich our curriculum. We also believe that all children should become fluent, confident and enthusiastic readers whilst at our school. We are committed to developing the personal and social skills of all our children and offer therapeutic interventions to those who need them.
These three ‘golden threads’ of reading, outdoor learning and personal development are woven through our planning and practice at every opportunity.
Visits to our school site, or informal discussions are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please contact Lisa Lane, Office Administrator on 01332 513862 or email [email protected] to arrange an appointment.
Ravensdale Infant and Nursery School is committed to safeguarding and the welfare of children and expects all staff to share in this. All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, online checks, completion of a probationary period, pre-employment and Disclosure Barring Service checks. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
All completed applications should be returned to Ravensdale Infant and Nursery School, Devonshire Drive, Mickleover DE3 9HE or email to Michelle Hoyle at [email protected] by 12:00pm on Monday 13th July 2026.
