Rotherham has the ambition to be a town where musical creativity is at the heart of every aspect of life. Music from before birth, through school and after school activities, with family learning, participation as audiences and encouraging expression that leads from passion to profession.
Rotherham Music provides music education to more than 3,000 children and young people each week across a range of musical disciplines for both in and out of school education. Alongside its provision for children and young people the service also supports a range of community music programmes from its Mini Melodies programme for pre-school children and its annual Signals music festival.
Rotherham Music is looking for vocal tutor who has the experience to work with local schools to enable them to run their own choirs in order to meet the desire to have A Choir in Every School. This will be alongside some vocal tuition.
Our ideal team members would have;

Experience of providing musical activities to children and young people in schools and settings.
- Experience of developing resources to support and music education programme.
- Experience of lesson planning, assessment and reporting
- Ability to lead collaborative music activities for a variety of audiences.
- Willingness to work flexibly.
