Simple Solar is a growing renewable energy company specialising in solar PV, battery storage and air source heat pump installations across Devon and Cornwall.
We're looking for a reliable and practical Store Assistant to help keep our store organised and support our installation teams. This is an important role within the business, helping to ensure everything is in the right place and ready when it's needed.
About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for receiving deliveries, organising stock, preparing materials for upcoming installations and making sure our engineers have everything they need before heading out to site.
You'll also help keep the store and yard clean and organised, separate recycling and waste, carry out regular stock checks and occasionally collect or deliver materials using one of our company vehicles.
We're looking for someone who enjoys keeping things organised and likes to keep busy. The role would be ideal for someone looking to step back from full-time work while staying active and becoming part of a friendly, hardworking team, although applications are welcome from anyone with the right attitude and approach.
Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check and put away deliveries
- Organise and maintain the store
- Prepare materials and equipment for upcoming installations
- Ensure engineers have the correct equipment and materials before leaving for site
- Carry out regular stock checks
- Monitor stock levels and advise when items need reordering
- Keep the store and yard clean, tidy and organised
- Separate and organise waste and recycling
- Occasionally collect or deliver materials using a company vehicle
- Support the wider team with day-to-day tasks as required
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am start (essential), finishing around midday, with a full day required every Thursday to receive our weekly delivery.
