Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plasterer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to create smooth, durable finishes. Your expertise will help transform raw structures into polished, aesthetically pleasing spaces. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal plaster adhesion.
- Mix plaster materials accurately according to project specifications and safety guidelines.
- Apply plaster using hand tools such as trowels, hawks, and floats to achieve smooth finishes on walls, ceilings, and decorative features.
- Utilize power tools including mixers and drills to facilitate efficient plaster application.
- Collaborate with bricklayers, masons, carpenters, and other trades to coordinate project workflows.
- Repair damaged surfaces by removing old plaster and reapplying new layers with precision.
- Follow safety protocols related to roofing, welding (if applicable), and handling heavy materials to maintain a secure work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plastering or related masonry trades with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, floats, and scrapers; familiarity with power tools like mixers and drills.
- Knowledge of bricklaying, masonry techniques, roofing practices, and welding basics is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications accurately.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work at heights if necessary.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Valid certifications or training in construction safety standards; experience working with carpentry or roofing is a plus.
