BOS, a division of Brit European, is recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our specialist transport operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking to develop specialist transport skills and build a long-term career within the abnormal load sector.

The Role
Initially, you will transport plant machinery and commercial vehicles throughout the UK while learning the specialist requirements of the operation.
Following successful completion of your training period, you will have the opportunity to progress into transporting abnormal loads up to 4.6 metres wide and 18 metres long.
This role supports major engineering projects, construction operations and manufacturers across the UK.
Responsibilities include:
- Transporting plant machinery and commercial vehicles nationwide
- Operating modern specialist trucks and trailers
- Load restraint and securing specialist loads
- Working alongside cranes and escort vehicles
- Abnormal load marking and compliance
- Completing transport documentation accurately
- Delivering excellent customer service
Shift Pattern
- Generally Monday to Friday tramping
- Occasional weekend work available with notice and paid at an enhanced rate
- Start times vary according to operational requirements
- Permanent, year-round workload
What We're Looking For
- HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum 6 licence points
- No DD, DR or IN endorsements
- Careful and professional approach to driving
- Previous abnormal load experience advantageous but not essential
Full support and training will be provided to help the successful candidate develop into the role.
