Joya Italian Steakhouse is looking for a talented, reliable and enthusiastic Chef to join our team in the heart of Bath.
We are an independent, busy city-centre restaurant known for our premium steaks, Italian-inspired dishes and our signature hot-stone dining experience.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys cooking, takes pride in what leaves the kitchen and wants to be part of a friendly, professional team.
The role
You’ll work alongside our Head Chef and kitchen team, preparing and delivering dishes to a consistently high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking dishes during service
- Working confidently across different kitchen sections
- Maintaining excellent food quality and presentation
- Following food hygiene, allergen and safety procedures
- Keeping your section organised, clean and ready for service
- Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy periods
- Helping minimise waste and maintain good stock control
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to know every dish on our menu on day one. We’re much more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, a genuine interest in food and a willingness to learn.
Ideally, you’ll have previous experience working in a professional kitchen and be comfortable in a busy restaurant environment.
