Responsibilities
- Measure and cut fabric or other upholstery materials accurately to match project specifications
- Use hand tools such as staplers, scissors, and measuring tapes to assemble and secure upholstery components
- Operate power tools safely for cutting, shaping, and attaching padding or fabric to furniture frames
- Sew fabric pieces together with precision using sewing machines or hand stitching techniques
- Fabricate custom cushions, headboards, or furniture coverings according to design plans
- Perform heavy lifting of furniture parts and materials to facilitate assembly or reupholstering processes
- Assist in the assembly of furniture frames and ensure proper fitting of upholstery components
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace within the warehouse or workshop environment
Experience
- Mechanical knowledge related to furniture construction and upholstery techniques
- Hands-on experience with hand tools such as staple guns, scissors, screwdrivers, and measuring devices
- Proficiency with power tools used in fabrication and upholstery work
- Skilled in sewing fabrics for upholstery applications with attention to detail
- Background in fabrication processes involving foam padding, springs, or wooden frames
- Warehouse experience is preferred for managing materials and equipment efficiently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during production tasks
- Prior experience in assembly or furniture manufacturing is a plus
