Are you a qualified accountant looking for a commercially focused role where you can make a real impact? We're seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join our finance team supporting a successful £100m turnover business.
Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely monthly management accounts, providing insightful analysis, and driving continuous improvement across the finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional who enjoys both technical accounting and partnering with the wider business.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L and Balance Sheet reporting.

Analyse financial performance, investigating variances against budget, forecast and prior year.

Complete month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.

Produce insightful management reporting and financial commentary.

Support budgeting, forecasting and departmental spend reviews.

Partner with operational stakeholders to improve understanding of business performance.

Deliver ad hoc analysis for management, group reporting and investors.

Drive improvements in financial processes, controls and reporting capabilities.

Mentor and support an AAT finalist during month-end activities.
About You
-
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Proven experience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.

Strong understanding of month-end processes and financial controls.

Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.

Able to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working to tight deadlines.

A hands-on problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
Desirable Experience
Manufacturing, stock accounting, group reporting and consolidations, Syspro, Sage, BPC, or statutory accounts experience would be advantageous.
